“I had gotten 2 quotes and they were the same price. We needed a little bit of a different design than probably what is standard and I just felt more comfortable with the confidence that Ethan had when he came out to do the measuring.”

Pool Fencing in Williamson County, Answered

Local questions about city code, cost, older decks and lawn installs across Williamson County.

Do Georgetown, Round Rock and Cedar Park require a pool fence?
For new pools and remodels, yes. Texas law makes the International Residential Code the residential building code in every city, and the cities here enforce pool barrier rules that call for a barrier at least 48 inches tall with self-closing, self-latching gates. ASTM F2286 compliant removable mesh at 4 feet meets that. Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto and Liberty Hill each run their own permit office and can amend the code, and homes outside city limits fall under Williamson County, so the detail varies by address. An older pool is generally not forced to retrofit just for existing, so plenty of pools here have no barrier at all. If you are pulling a permit, check with your city; the fence we install is the same either way.
How much does a pool fence cost in Round Rock and Georgetown?
Most installs run between $2,500 and $4,500. The price follows the pool, not the ZIP code: the length of the fence line and how many gates you need. Every quote includes professional installation, a self-closing, self-latching gate and our workmanship warranty, using genuine All-Safe materials. We measure on site and give you a fixed, itemized price before anything is ordered.
We just bought a house with a pool. How fast can you fence it?
Fast. The free on site quote is usually next day: we come out, measure and price it while we are there. Once you accept, installs are usually scheduled the same week, and most are finished in a single day. If you are still closing, call us anyway and we will line up the measure for your first week in the house.
Our deck is older concrete, or pavers. Can you still install?
Yes. Every hole is wet core drilled, which cuts a clean hole through concrete, tile and pavers instead of hammering the deck. Older decks often have rebar in them, and the core bit cuts through it. On pavers, each hole lands in the middle of a paver or in a seam, never on an edge, so the paver does not crack. Before a single hole is drilled, we chalk the whole fence line out and you approve it.
Our pool sits out in the yard with lawn around it. Can the fence go in the grass?
Yes. On bigger Liberty Hill, Georgetown and Leander lots the pool often sits away from the house with lawn or a garden bed on one side. The fence can cross grass: each pole sits in a sleeve set in concrete in the ground, and a run can end on a tall post buried in the yard rather than stopping at the edge of the deck. A gate in the grass gets a small pad. Lawn work is its own line on the quote, so you see exactly what it adds.
Which Williamson County towns do you cover?
All of them. Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, Hutto, Jarrell, Taylor and Florence, plus Brushy Creek, Avery Ranch and the Austin neighborhoods on the Williamson side of the county line, and Pflugerville next door. We group north side work, so a free on site measure is usually a day or two out.

Pool Fencing by Williamson County Community

The county splits at I-35: Hill Country limestone to the west, blackland clay to the east. Here is what we usually find, area by area, starting where the most pools are.

West Georgetown & Berry Creek

More homes with a pool than any other part of Williamson County, by the appraisal district’s own records. Berry Creek, Cimarron Hills, Gabriel’s Overlook and Wolf Ranch sit west of I-35 on Hill Country limestone, with big poured decks, outdoor kitchens and pavilions out by the water. Fence lines run long here, and the gate goes where the path from the back door actually is, not where the run is shortest.

Round Rock

Round Rock West, Behren’s Ranch, Sendero Springs and Forest Creek have one of the highest shares of homes with a pool in the county, about one in seven in the 78681 ZIP. Many of those pools have been there for years, so a lot of families here buy a house that already has one. Older decks usually carry rebar, which our wet core drill cuts through cleanly. North of 79, Teravista and Lake Forest are newer and the lots are bigger.

Cedar Park

Buttercup Creek, Ranch at Brushy Creek, Forest Oaks and Cypress Bend: mostly 1990s and 2000s homes under mature live oaks, with freeform pools, flagstone coping and rock waterfalls. Freeform pools are where layout matters most. We run straight lines between the curves instead of chasing every contour, which keeps the mesh tight and gives the gate the straight run it needs.

Liberty Hill

One of the youngest parts of the county and one of the fastest growing in Texas, and already about one home in nine has a pool. Clearwater Ranch, Stable Oaks, Sundance Ranch and Santa Rita Ranch have bigger lots where the pool often sits out in the yard. Lawn on one side and concrete on the other is normal here, and the fence crosses both.

Lake Georgetown & Woodland Park

Woodland Park, Fountainwood and the lake lots off County Road 262 have more pools per home than anywhere else we work in the county: better than one house in five. Larger lots, on the north and west sides of the lake.

Leander

More young families than almost anywhere in the county, and fewer pools per home, because so many of the houses are new. Reagan’s Overlook, Whitt Ranch, Highland Oaks and Mason Ranch hold most of the pools today, and newer sections fill in as families add one. We measure from the finished deck, so if your pool is still being built, call once the decking is poured.

Brushy Creek & Avery Ranch

Austin addresses on the Williamson side of the county line: the Woods and Meadows of Brushy Creek, Oak Brook and Avery Ranch. More than one home in ten has a pool, mostly on compact suburban lots where the fence runs close to the house. On a short run, where the gate sits matters more than how much fence there is.

Hutto, Pflugerville & the East Side

East of I-35 the ground turns to blackland clay and the subdivisions are newer, with fewer pools so far. We install here too. Clay moves with wet and dry seasons and can tilt a deck slab over the years, so we look at the deck at the measure before planning a line across it.
